Rebecca Kestle, DVM

Dr. Rebecca Kestle, an expert on maintaining a healthy pet with supportive preventative care and good nutrition, is constantly updating her understanding and knowledge of small animal illness and treatment. Additionally, she has built an expertise in breeding, whelping and neonatal puppy care.

With over 20 years of experience working with other veterinarians in their practices, she has moved to her own practice at Centre Court Veterinary Clinic, supported by Dr. James Walker and a staff of five technicians. Because of her successful background in breeding and showing dogs, Dr. Kestle brings a "healthy animal" perspective to the treatment of family pets.

Dr. Kestle is a founder of the Dogwood Akita Club of Georgia and helped start the Greater Atlanta Labrador Retriever Club, an active member of the Akita Club of America and Atlanta Kennel Club. She is a successful breeder and exhibitor of Akitas, having bred over 30 champions. With this background and understanding of the special needs of maintaining the health and stamina of a show dog, many breeders in the south use Dr. Kestle as their vet of choice. Synbiotics has recognized her as an agent for PennHIP certification and frozen semen maintenance.

Additionally, Dr. Kestle has volunteered at Good Mews, a no-kill cat shelter in Marietta, and focused on continuing her education in cat care to best serve all the families with feline pets.

This expertise along with her ongoing education goals enhances the care that she can deliver to the family pet. The Clinic has the ability to do a lot of testing on site with x-ray, EKG, ultrasound equipment, the ability to do blood work and a surgical suite allowing for quicker diagnosis and treatment of small animals.

Dr. Rebecca Kestle is a Georgia native, received her DVM in 1985, from the University of Georgia after completing her BS in biology at West Georgia University.

Canine Reproduction Services is led by Rebecca Kestle, DVM and is part of her full-service veterinary practice, Centre Court Veterinary Clinic. Although it is a specialty extension of her practice, many owners appreciate the additional convenience of the availability of full medical attention at the same facility.
CRS was established in 1988 to focus on the canine breeding and the health and medical issues associated with canine reproduction. We have been offering fresh chilled breeding services since our inception and began offering frozen semen services in 1991, and have had excellent success in both. In fact, CH Taboo First Time Offender is the result of Dr. Kestle's first attempt at a frozen semen breeding. She was one of a litter of 11!
Breeding Plans: Canine Reproductive Services encourages the use of a breeding plan to help increase conception rates. This plan includes testing of the stud dog and bitch for possible infections that may prohibit pregnancy, and evaluation of the stud's semen. Ovulation timing is most important when it comes to breeding dogs, and can be accomplished by a simple blood test, which we will perform in-house. These and other steps when followed can help improve the success of your breeding program.
